Tornado Maker - http://nature-blog.wittybuzz.com/2008/08/24/tornado-maker/ Category: Blogs Each year in the United States we get thousands of very high-powered Tornadoes. Hundreds of these cyclones become very serious to population bases, which are in their vicinity. Severe weather is a common occurrence when cold and warm fronts meet and severe thunderstorms can cause huge energy events and turbulence creating Tornadoes. Hurricanes often also create Tornadoes beyond their eyes to their outer bands. - More details

Abandoning of Airbases and Military Aviation Facility Assets Overseas - http://military-blog.wittybuzz.com/2008/08/23/abandoning-of-airbases-and-military-aviation-facility-assets-overseas/ Category: Blogs: Internet Does it really make sense for the United States Military to abandon old air bases over seas? Such important assets may be needed in the future; perhaps not now or in this decade but at some point in the not so distant future. We must consider the ever changing political climate and the ways of the world before giving up important military assets in far regions of the world. We will need these bases and it seems rather insane to simply walk from such vital facilities now, with such an unknown number of potential eventualities and futures. - More details

The Things That Stay Important To Us… - http://soldier-blog.wittybuzz.com/2008/08/17/the-things-that-stay-important-to-us/ Category: Blogs: Internet Selfless Service__1LT Laura Walker walked into my classroom just over five years ago as a Yearling in CH101. She was intelligent, professional, and had a positive attitude that was infectious to the underclassmen. Laura branched engineers and I was happy to see that she chose Fort Lewisa post that I myself was headed to. Laura was a top platoon leader in the Task Force and was hand-picked to become the Task Force’s Public Affairs Officer (PAO) where we worked together to showcase the great things that Soldiers were doing to support the Afghan government’s legitimacy. Laura always balanced mission with taking care of Soldiers and even as a staff officer made a point to push care packages to Soldiers who operated out of Forward Operating Bases (FOBs). Her memory in the Task Force is not forgotten and we continue to remember her dedication and devotion to taking of Soldiers. 1LT Laura Walker wrote this following piece a few days before her death and is a powerful tribute to her deep respect to the sacrifices that all Soldiers make. - More details

I Said Yes, I Meant No, and Now I Want Out - http://statement.zersal.com/2008/08/22/i-said-yes-i-meant-no-and-now-i-want-out/ Category: Entertainment: Fanlistings Imagine this; you have the opportunity to go away for the weekend with some friends. Being the courteous partner that you are, you check to make sure that there aren’t plans already in the works, or that your significant other doesn’t have a problem with you being away. Your partner tells you that it is ok and you happily go without a care in the world. You covered your bases and now you can enjoy the weekend. Maybe this scenario only happens once during your relationship, or maybe it is repeated a number of times. Whatever the case, fast forward ahead five or ten years and you have an argument or you are in counseling trying to fix some relationship issues and the fact that you took, or continue to take, these weekends with your friends comes up. You soon discover that not only was your partner not ok with you going away for the weekend, but anger and resentment have been harboring themselves away within the confines of his or her heart had have brewed themselves to overflowing. - More details

Do I Really Need A Tool Box - http://hsphereicons.com/2008/08/23/do-i-really-need-a-tool-box/ Category: Blogs: Internet First we need a carry around toolbox, nothing to big or bulky, remember you will be filling it up with tools! So we have the hammer, don’t get one that is to heavy, I would say either a 16oz or a 20oz would be fine. A few screwdrivers, screwdrivers come in various sizes like 1 2 3 and so on, the bigger the number the bigger the head of the screw is. Make sure you get a few sizes in the straight or slotted type and same with the Philips. I mentioned a wrench earlier but there are several types of wrenches, adjustable, combination, pipe etc. I think an adjustable wrench 12 would cover most bases. A standard pliers or slip joints about 8. - More details
